Question is regarding my 2023 model Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 - Type 82WK, serial xxxxx

I am a photographer and am building a Ryzen 9950x based PC which will have full USB 4/Thunderbolt 4 capabilities. I download large batches of photos/videos and am looking forward to the Gen 4 download speeds... (and my best two memory cards are some of the few capable of these speeds--  max 5000 mbps) I have a card reader and a Gen 4 m.2 enclosure that will allow me to transfer files from my laptop to the new home PC.

I surely don't want one, as I'm quite happy with this one, my third Lenovo.  My Y545 is retired, but still works, though its performance in several benchmarks is down 5-20%.

Thanks. Sadly, that is what I thought. I knew the laptop didn't have the capability, but didn't know for sure that the dock wouldn't provide it. Even with the OWC dock, a no go... Well, I may just be in the market for a new laptop with full USB 4.

Can you or anyone save me some time and provide a list of laptops with similar features to mine (32 gb of ram, 13900x or better, 4070 or better.... ) that have at least one USB4 port.

Thanks. My cursory search had only come up with a Thinkpad with an A2000 GPU that ranks well below the 4070 that is in mine.  

Thaty said, at $2999, that's almost double what I paid 15 months ago (on an appx $500 off B&H deal)  

Guess I'll make do for now.. and keep searching across the web for deals on any brand --just need similar specs to this one and mine. (Is there a way to configure the laptop or a similar one with a 4070 instead to save quite a few bucks?
