Hello,

I recently purchased a Legion 5 (15ACH6H) Laptop, Type 82JU, and while gaming I am facing packet loss on games such as Overwatch, Counter-Strike, and Valorant. I've had the laptop only a few months, but this problem started about two weeks ago. I ran the same ping test on this laptop and my old laptop at the same time. My old laptop was fine but my new Legion experienced a large percentage of packet loss and intermittent high latency (from 20ms to 200ms), so I'm positive it has to do with the WI-FI card. My WI-FI card is listed as Realtek RTL8852AE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCIe Adapter.

Can anybody help with this?

If you have Lenovo Vantage, see if disabling Network booster helps.

Network Booster is already disabled. I've tried it on and off. It makes no difference.

You may need to test your connectivity using a different service router that usually had similar issue.

Ideally newer firmware and if possible newer modems would be the best candidate to test with.

For now, you may want to uncheck the power management box under Device manager properties of the wlan card (right click) so that it will not turn off on power save.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't make much difference. I see less packet loss, but I still have intermittent high latency. Gameplay is the same - bad.
