Hello,

I'm currently having an issue with my new IdeaCentre Gaming 5 17IAB7 - Type 90T0. Sometimes while I'm playing games the computer randomly reboots. When I check the Event Monitor I see a critical error, Event 41, Kernel-Power

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Right before this error is another error , Event 125, Kernel-Power:

This isn't the first time this happened, and it seems to happen randomly. I tried running a PC stress test for 1 hr and everything looked good and there was no overheating..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This might be related to drivers.

Could you please try and do an automatic driver update via the support site.

I followed the link and it seems like all the drivers are up to date..

It would help to know the details of your specific system.  And since it's game related, it may be worth trying the driver downloaded direct from the Nvidia download site, as it takes time for Lenovo to certify and publish drivers.  You can always rollback to the previous, Lenovo driver. 

What details would be of help in this case? Just so I make sure to provide what you're looking for.

You have run the Lenovo diagnostics?  I prefer MemTest86 for memory, 4 passes can take hours (I run them over night) but is very thorough.  Beyond that I suggest opening a case with Lenovo Tech Support. 

So I just let memtest run overnight and it came back clear with no errors.. 

It seems like I'm better off returning the PC because we can't find the culprit..
