My Idealpad 5 15IAL7 has been far more difficult than my mac books in the past. Though, my current issue is that when I screen record for longer than 1:20 seconds, the video will automatically stop and the video is no where to be found. I appear to have storage and cannot seem to think of any other reason for this to be happening. I need to be able to screen record for longer durations and be able to access these recordings without them just disappearing, any thoughts?

Apologies for the troubles that you're having with your laptop. When did you notice this problem started to happen? Is it after installing a certain software or update? 

Please make sure that your system has the latest BIOS and driver updates via Lenovo Vantage app. Also, check if there are any pending Windows Updates that needs to be installed including the optional ones.

If same issue, verify the settings of the screen recording software you are using. Some software may have a default time limit for recordings. Adjust the settings to allow for longer recording durations. Make sure as well that there is ample free space on your drive.
