I was one of the longest follower of this issue and thread.. after the battery firmware they released it fixed a battery for months..
But now I can confirm that

THIS ISSUE HAS RETURN AGAIN.. and causing the issues like no charging or 0-100% charge in minute though removing power supply shuts down directly, suddent unexptected shut downs these are some of the issues.

I hope so LENOVO GUYS WILL CARE ABOUT US AGAIN and will look into this issue.. OR i will soon file the CASE IN INDIAN CONSUMER COURT.

Hey Lenovo team,

I have the same problem. The old firmware update fixed it, but now the problem has returned and it is worse than ever.

You have to do something, it is not professional at all ignore the many of us having this issue!

I want to believe that you will release a new update.

The notebook is still new, it is unbelievable that the buyers of this model had to face all these problems.

Re: Lenovo Z510 Battery Issues

I think windows 10 updates messes with battery firmware. Lenovo should release new firmware  for latest windows. I dont know why it is taking so long to give a update. Or is it a scam to harrass and force people to buy new battery. We all know our battery need not to be changed as its the same problem from 1 yr ago and it's happening with everyone. Now every z510 battery can't go dead at the same time. So dont make us fools and give new firmware update according to new windows version.

And I would not reccommend anyone to buy this company's product ever again. Parts are too costly and they neglect people after warranty expires.

Tried to fix this problem by buying and installing new battery. No change.

Tried the firmware update solution. App said no update was needed. No change.

Tried installing Lenovo power managment. No change.

IdeaPad Z510 only charges when closed but charches to 100%. When on charge depletes within two hours and displays "plugged in and not charging". I haven't seen any solution offered for this problem that i haven't already tried please help.......
