hi j1986,
Welcome to the Forums.
Can you try the following:
1. Press Fn+F5 to enable the wireless card (ensure Current Status is set to "ON")
2. If pressing Fn+F5 can't turn the wireless status to ON, ensure that the physical wireless switch is on the ON position.
3. If same problem, boot into the BIOS by pressing F2 on startup and ensure that the WLAN Device is Enabled.
4. If you still can't detect wifi networks, open Device Manager (press Winkey+R) and then:
- navigate to Network Network Adapters
- right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall
- right click on Network Adapters and choose Scan for hardware changes and check for availabel wifi networks
5. Alternatively, try to re-seat the wireless connectors at the bottom part of the PC (see page 42 of the HMM)
Hope this helps

Your feedback helps us improve!Hey guys, new to this site and not all that knowledgeable....but kind of having the same issue.
My V570 stopped connecting through wifi at home. Every other computer will connect on this network... as well, this computer will connect everywhere else (ie Starbucks, other houses etc).
Lenovo wants $89 to test the computer - more than I want to pay especially someething that could be an easy fix.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
hi Lenovoissues,
Have you tried rebooting your router? Perhaps you have mac filtering or other security settings enabled on your router. Have you tried to reset the router to factory default and reconfigure it?

neokenchi

hi neokenchi,
Yes I even installed a new router with the same issues. All the other computers are Windows and work on the router, just this one does not.
Not sure if it's missing a drive or something
hi Lenovoissues,
If the unit connects fine to other places, the WLAN driver is working fine. Have you tried the troubleshooting above? Also, are you able to re-create the issue in Safe Mode with Networking? (booting in this mode isolates 3rd party apps that might be interferring with the wifi connection)
Regards,
neokenchi

Hello All. My B560 is having a very similar issue. I am able to connect to existing wi-fi networks (those with which the machine is already familiar), but will not discover any NEW networks. If I'm away from my office or home, when I click the "Connect to a network" button, I get absolutely no response. Any ideas?
when I press fn+f5 airplane mode turns on and off and not showing the power saver
