XClarity Server Status Shows Offline

When I power off a server, the status in XClarity Administrator / Hardware / Servers shows the server as "Offline".

The status of the server remains "offline" even after the server is powered back on

Is there a way to force XCLA to "see" that the server is back up and running from within the Administrator

So far the only way I can get it to recognize the correct Status is to reboot the XClarity server

Re:XClarity Server Status Shows Offline

Hi Sir,

Is any operating system installed on the managed device?

If a server without an operating system is power on, LXCA might show an incorrect power state for that server. Refer to this link: Server power state is not correct.

If the server with an OS installed is power-on but LXCA has still displayed an incorrect power state, try to un-manage the server and manage it again.

The managed device is running ESXi 6.7

I though the Administrator talked to the XCC on the system independent of the OS ?

Re:XClarity Server Status Shows Offline

Hi Sir,

Is the server status displayed offline with an (untrusted) server certificate like the following picture?

If it's the case, click the untrusted link and then follow the instructions shown on the next pop-up window to resolve the issue. Then reload the server list page, it's supposed to be displayed with normal status.

You can also refer to the link for more details on how to resolve this symptom.

No - there's no "untrusted" indication - just says offline

Re:XClarity Server Status Shows Offline

I'll leave this as a bug for now as I've re-tested with the server in question

The XCA is not properly communicating with the server once powered on after a power off not initaited by XCA

The XCA will communicate the server if the XCA is re-booted

For now, I'll just re-boot the XCA server
