I just purchased a Lenovo Yoga 730 13". While the connection to the internet appears stable, the internet connection frequently drops. It only re-engages after restarting wifi connection. The internet connection on my android phone, iPad and PC are all via wifi and all consistent.
What should I do next ?

I had a problem that sounds similar to what you are experiencing.
When this connection drop happens, try running Windows Network Diagnostics. The easiest way to do this (for me at least) is to have chrome open, try to go into a webpage, and when the no internet screen with the dinosaur comes up, click Run Windows Network Diagnostics.
Try this, and let me know what steps occur and what it says, even if it says the issue is resolved. The issue could still persist even after running diagnostics.

Thanks. I did try that, but to no avail. The system did reset the wifi adapter, which worked for a bit, but then the problem returned.
Following advice I found online, I restored the previous wifi adapter. So far, it has been up and working for an hour. We'll see if this does anything. Keeping my fingers crossed.
The wifi module on a few Lenovo laptops, including this model is crap.
Look on Youtube to find how to update the wifi module on it. You can fix all these headaches by replacing it.
I just replaced the WIFI card, bought one through Amazon. It works perfectly.
Update: the internet connection has been stable for 9 hours and counting. Hopefully reverting to the previous version of the wifi adapter has done the trick.
My next question: will Windows automatically update the driver such that I'll have to go through this again?
