Re: "no connection, secured" - realtek wireless problems
Problem connecting to wifi with my lenovo 730-15.
It started in May some time, not sure exactly when.
Problem happens in Windows 10 (fully updated, happens across last two major updates).
Realtek 8822BE Wireless **bleep** 802.11ac PCI-E NIC running updated lenovo driver
When the laptop is plugged in to AC power, the internet stops working and after a few moments, the network icon shows "no connection, secured". To reconnect I have to disable and re-enable networking after unplugging the laptop from power.
Some times after re-enabling several times, networking will work, but mostly not.
Things that I've tried that don't help and have not fixed it:
-reseting connection via windows settings
-uninstalling driver, reinstalling
-rolling back driver, different driver
-changed anti-virus
-reset router
-reboot
-checked and unchecked adaptor properties (unchecking ipv6)
-changed private/public network status, altered all sharing options.
Things that work:
-Wireless sometimes works after multiple resets and disable-enable cycles, but I'm not sure what changes - never works after restart or wake up if plugged in.
-Wireless worked flawlessly on laptop until last month
-Wireless works flawlessly on laptop while running linux
-Multiple devices running fine off same router.
When I troubleshoot the connection I get an error pointing to domain errors, but it doesn't fix anything.
Have not reformatted yet, hoping to avoid that (don't have restore points).
Anything else to try?
