Hello,

In my Moto G 2nd Gen phone, Preferred Network type' option in second SIM greyed out and unable to select network type.

Please let me know the reason and solution. I am using BSNL SIM in secondary slot.

If you have setup sim 1 as your mobile data sim then you can not choose the preferred network on the second sim, only on the sim you have set as the mobile data sim.
You can only have one sim set to mobile data the other sim will automatically default to 2G

I also faced the same problem! 

The answer in this thread gave some insight into how to solve it and I solved it. 

Simply, 

You have to remove all sim cards first , 

Then put in the one in which you want to use data in any slot. I suggest you put that in slot one. 

Wait for the data to get connected. And now put in the second sim in other slot. 

Woohaha! Everything should work fine.
