Hi! My Moto G5s plus is less than 2 months old. My phone got switched off due to low battery and on charging it in switched off mode with the turbo charger, it took 2 hours for the phone to charge from 2% to 11%. Also there was continuous intermittent disconnection. I connected the charger and the phone at multiple power sockets even firmly holding the charger, yet the indication of loose connection (intermittent disconnection) continued. However on turning the phone on and charging it, the phone charged upto 50% in less than one hour. I also connected with an alternate turbo charger in switched off mode and it is working fine, charged quickly. Is my charger faulty?

We cannot tell if its the charger's fault but its possible based on your info. But let me see what I can do.

May I ask how long would it take to charge the phone using the second charger? If the phone is fully drained, it would take longer than usual time to fully charge the phone. But you can try to calibrate the phone and observe it for a while. Using the two chargers and observing how long it would take to fully charge the phone.

To calibrate the battery, hold power button until device reboots. Upon reboot plug into the charger. Allow phone to charge to 100% and leave on the charger for at least an additional hour. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Ella,

I noticed that when my phone is charged at 20% or more, there is no issue with my existing charger even while charging it in switched off mode. However in cmpletely drained state I faced the issue that I mentioned previously. Do we need to turn on the phone after an initial charge and charge when it is completely drained?
