Is the keyboard *that* bad as the reviews make it, or is it just because people are used to the older keys? I also for one feel that chiclet keys spoil the professional look. But looks apart, how good/ bad is it?
sometimes people can get hysterical over minor things... from my personal uses, the new keyboard isn't that bad. But it does take some use to if you uses the F1-F12 keys a lot.

The T430 uses 7mm SATA 2.5" hard drives. A 9.5mm will not fit. The T420 supports both 7mm and 9.5mm 2.5" hard drives depending on the rubber brackets included. They are now moving towards 7mm hdds.
It can be a bit shady though. But, you might find really good deals. The downside is that it only offers 1 year warranty and other services are lost too.
I think you can purchase upgraded warranty on outlet machines.

yes i read the specification the T430 uses 7 mm. Not sure the design reason for moving to this drive thickness, when the T430 doesn't lack space to accommodate the larger drives.
The 7 mm thick drive will fit the ThinkPad T420 just fine with the 9.5 mm drive bracket and rubber rail.
