Hi there,

My motherboard was recently replaced on a IBM/Lenovo M57 (6075).

When the motherboaed was changed, the SN is incorrect. The place I had the board replaced didn't know how to change it.

They said they don't have a way to fix it. They tried the ThikPad Hardware Maintenance Diskette 1.73 but that doesn't help!

Anyone have any suggestions on how to update the SN?

The BIOS update software provides you with an opportunity to update the Model and Serial. I used the self booting CD version. The other versions should work as well.
