Thinkpad P1 GEN2 - Integrated camera is not working

Hello All,

 

My camera app is not working. I reinstalled the most recent driver, but it didn't show up in device manager. I've attached two error messages.

In my device manager, I don't have a integrated camera and the only camera I can see is USB Boot.

I contacted Lenovo service center, and it didn't work. 

I'm teaching in college. And because of the current Corona virus spread, I should be prepared to teach online or video recording. 

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

First stem is to see if it's turned off in the BIOS.  Look on the security tab under I-O port access.

 

Then Go to Start > Settings (gear icon) > Privacy > Camera and make sure it's enabled.

Rich, what would be the appropriate forum? I'm a new Lenovo user and not familiar with the community forum. Please let me know so I can move it to get more advice.

I checked the BIOS. The Camera was enabled.

You are in the right place.

Yes. In privacy setting, the camera is on.

Also check in Lenovo Vantage.

 

Under my device settings, find camera and see what that says

In my first posting, I attached the error message from Lenovo Vintage. It said "camera in use or loading failed." I didn't use the camera app.

sorry.  I looked at only the top 2 images - black screen and device manager.  I would look under programs and features and uninstall the "camera" app (from microsoft.  Then install again from microsoft store

I uninstalled camera app and reinstalled it from MS Store. SAME EFFOR CODE.
