Lenovo Legion Y34wz 30 - Type 67B0 - Mouse and Keyboard stops working

I have reached out via a ticket nine days ago and never heard back. I then went to ask for a call back and still have not received a call. The issue is the kvm. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse (logitech) they sell on their site. Every time both buttons are pressed simultaneously and the mouse is moved around the keyboard and mouse seem to switch over to the other computer BUT the monitor doesn't change over to the other PC. I noticed it happening when my daughter was playing Roblox and I figured out that it is also replicated outside the game. Any idea what I can do to resolve the problem?

Hi brandoncampbell,

I am sorry that you are having this issue. Have you checked for any specific KVM settings you may have adjusted or any firmware updates available for the monitor? Additionally, it would be helpful to test the keyboard and mouse with another computer to determine if the issue lies with the peripherals themselves. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem:

  1. Firmware Update: Ensure that your monitor's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates on the Lenovo Support website.

  2. Driver Update: Make sure that the drivers for your wireless keyboard and mouse are up to date. You can use the Lenovo Vantage app to check for and install any necessary updates.

  3. KVM Settings: Double-check the KVM settings in the monitor's on-screen display (OSD) menu. Ensure that the KVM switch is configured correctly for your setup.

  4. USB Ports: Try connecting the wireless receiver to different USB ports on the monitor to see if that resolves the issue.

  5. Reset: If all else fails, you might want to try resetting the monitor to its factory settings.

Best regards,

Re:Lenovo Legion Y34wz 30 - Type 67B0 - Mouse and Keyboard stops working

Thank you for the response. I have tried all the things you mentioned. I even tried another keyboard and mouse and was able to replicate it. I am also able to replicate this on multiple OS (macOS).This further leads me to believe it is related to the KVM on the monitor. Lenovo finally responded although they apparently didn't get any of the information I supplied in the ticket that was mandatory before submitting it. I saved all the images, etc.. so I was able to resend it to the email she supplied. The person is supposed to escalate this higher up and give me a call when they have had a chance to review the video, pictures and problem. I was really disappointed in the initial discussion with the person on the phone as they initially asked that i call the keyboard and mouse vendor to troubleshoot. This was unacceptable and seemed like they were brushing me off especially considering i supplied them with information on how to reproduce the problem. At least to me, at minimum, someone at Lenovo could validate this themselves by getting the necessary logs and information. This could lead to a firmware update that could help everyone.

Hi brandoncampbell,

Thank you for the detailed follow-up. I understand your frustration with the initial support experience. Given that you've replicated the issue with different peripherals and operating systems, it does seem likely that the problem is related to the KVM functionality of the monitor.

It's good to hear that your case is being escalated. Hopefully, the higher-level support team will be able to provide a more thorough investigation and potentially a firmware update to resolve the issue. In the meantime, please keep an eye on the Lenovo Support website for any new firmware updates that might address this problem.

Best regards,

Re:Lenovo Legion Y34wz 30 - Type 67B0 - Mouse and Keyboard stops working

Well, after waiting for over a month my ticket go lost in the shuffle. After all of that they didn't allow me to talk to an engineer and/or attempt to replicate this on their end. They instead replaced the monitor and unfortunately as I suspected it has the same issue. I have responded to the replacement email with the information. We will see what happens now.
